ICOCA (IC commuter pass/Purchace Continuously)
The procedure for purchasing new ICOCA commuter passes and purchacing continuously are the same (except for selecting the section to use and the start date of use).
(Renewal commuter passes will be issued to the same IC card.)
If you have an used magnetic commuter pass
You cannot purchase an ICOCA IC commuter pass (new or renewed) using a magnetic commuter pass that is in use or has already been used.
Transferring a magnetic commuter pass that is in use to an IC commuter pass is handled at the commuter pass sales counter.
You cannot purchase a student commuter pass that spans multiple grades or the first student commuter pass in a new school year.
