    *

In order to get a refund for a commuter pass, you will need to present a form of personal identification such as an official certificate.

    *

For a refund of a commuter pass purchased with a credit card, the credit card used for payment is required.

    *

Commuter passes issued by other companies may not be refundable.

Q. How is the refund calculated when the commuter pass is no longer needed?

If the validity period remains for one month or more after the start of use, we will refund the balance after deducting the commuter fare equivalent to the number of months that have passed (if less than one month, it will be counted as one month) and the handling fee (220 yen).

Number of months used Refund amount
1 month commuter pass fare - (1 month commuter fare + handling fee)
2 months commuter pass fare - (1 month commuter fare x 2 + handling fee)
3 months commuter pass fare - (3 month commuter fare + handling fee)
4 months commuter pass fare - (3 month commuter fare + 1 month commuter fare + handling fee)
5 months commuter pass fare - (3 month commuter fare + 1 month commuter fare x 2 + handling fee)

Since commuter passes are contracted on a monthly basis, refunds will also be calculated on a monthly basis when they are no longer needed.

For example, if you use a 3 month commuter pass for 1 month and 1 day, the number of months used will be 2 months. If it is within 7 days including the start date of the validity period, we will refund the remaining amount after deducting the amount calculated as if one round trip was made per day at the normal passenger fare for the section on the commuter pass with the handling fee.

[Calculation example]
Refund amount = commuter pass fare - (ordinary passenger fare x 2 x number of days used [within 7 days] + handling fee)
Example: Refund amount for a 1-month commuter pass between Namba and Wakayama for 3 days
28,400 JPY - (970 JPY x 2 x 3 days + 220 yen) = 22,360 JPY (refund amount)

Q. What is the refund calculation method for the commuter pass that is no longer needed when the section of the commuter pass is changed?

If you have purchased a commuter pass for a new section and no longer need the previous pass, we will refund the remaining amount after deducting the commuter fare for the number of days that have passed (calculated in units of 10 days) and the handling fee. (Elapsed days less than 1 unit(10 days) will be counted as 1 unit. Commuter passes with less than 1 unit remaining will not be refunded.)

[Calculation example]

Refund amount = commuter pass fare - (daily commuter fare amount x 10 x number of days passed + handling fee)
