Magnetic commuter pass

On September 14, 2021 (Tue), we will end the sale of magnetic communication commuter passes and promote the use of IC.

Magnetic commuter pass is a commuter pass that is inserted into the ticket gate.

How to purchace
There are two ways to purchase a Magnetic commuter pass.

Release Date

Both new and recurring passes will go on sale 14 days before the start date of validity.

    If the commuter pass in use is issued by another company's line, it cannot be reissued.

Other notes

    Stopover

    You can get off the train as long as it is within the valid section of the IC commuter pass.
    2.

    Riding Over

    If you transfer outside the valid section of your commuter pass, normal passenger fare is necessary.
    3.

    Handling of commuter passes at ticket vending machines (pink ticket vending machines) where commuter passes can be purchased

    You can purchase a student commuter pass only if you have a student commuter pass that you are using or a student commuter pass that has expired within two months. However, you cannot purchase a student commuter pass for a period that spans the school year.
