Information of surrounding facilities

In May 1944, Fukechō station opened at the same time as the opening of the Tanagawa branch line. At that time, there was “Fuke Station'' on the Nankai Main Line between Minamitannowa Station (current Misakikoen Station) and Kyoshi Station, but it was abolished in April 1958, partly because this new station opened. Kunitama Shrine, located about 300 meters northeast of the station, is an old shrine in Engishikinai that enshrines Ookunitamaokami and Kamowakeikazuchinokami. The precincts, which are densely covered with trees, have an air of purity.

Houjuji Temple, which is located on the south side of the station across the rotary, is also known as "Fossil Temple", and exhibits a large number of Naumann elephant fossils and appreciation stones that were discovered on the seabed and underground nearby.
