Information of surrounding facilities

Kyarabashi station opened in October 1918. The Takashinohama branch line (currently the Takashinohama line), which was laid for the development of luxury housing in the surrounding area, and opened to Takashinohama Station in August of the following year. In March 1970, it was elevated to relieve traffic congestion on the prefectural road Sakai-Hannan Line (National Route 26 at the time) that intersects between Kyarabashi and Takashinohama. The station's name is derived from the Kyarabashi Bridge, which was built over the Ashida River on the old Kishu Highway. In 1865, the wooden bridge was replaced with stones, and in 1988, the stone bridge was relocated to Takasago Park in the Sakai Senboku Rinkai Industrial Complex.

In April 2024, the Takashinohama Line was elevated.
