Information of surrounding facilities

In 1937, the Dekaicho of the Shikoku 88 sacred sites (Visiting and exposing the principal image of the temple) was held along the Nankai line, and the area around the current public corporation Kongo housing complex (west of the station) became the venue for the Koya line. Because it was chosen, this station was newly established in April of the same year for the convenience of worshipers. In the spring of 2002, we started construction to promote barrier-free stations. 3 elevators, 3 escalators, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, etc. were newly installed on the premises, and construction was completed in March 2004. Sayama Shrine is located on the west side of the station, and the surrounding forest has been selected as one of Osaka Prefecture's Top 100 Greenery.
