Kawachinagano station opened in March 1898, and four years later in December 1902, Kintetsu's predecessor, Kanan Railway (Kashiwara-Kawachinagano) opened and became a connecting station. In October 1976, the station building was built over the bridge. Kanshinji Temple, a famous temple representing Minamikawachi area, is located along the railway line, and Kondo (the main hall) and Nyoirin Kannon are designated as national treasures.

Take a bus from the station to Mt. Kongo, the highest peak in Osaka Prefecture (1,125 meters). You can enjoy frost-covered trees during winter mountain climbing and hiking.

Nagano Park (Nagano Area) 《7 minutes walk from the station》

Nagano Park, which is scattered at the foot of the Kongo mountain range, is one of the parks where you can fully enjoy nature as it is. It consists of five unique areas; Nagano district, where the entire mountain is covered with cherry blossoms in spring; Kawaiji district, where 5,000 hydrangeas can be seen during the rainy season; "Kanshinji/Maruyama district" with a wonderful view overlooking Osaka Bay; Enmeiji area, which is famous for its maple trees, and the Amanoyama area, which has a dense forest.

Kanshinji Temple 《immediately after getting off at "Kanshinji" bus stop》

Located on the border of three prefectures; Osaka, Nara, and Wakayama, this temple was founded by En no Gyoja, the founder of Shugendo in 701 AD, and was later used by Kobo Daishi Kukai as a training hall for the Shingon sect. In the precincts, there are the tombs of Doko Daishi Jitsue, the chief disciple of Kobo Daishi, the tomb of Masashige Kusunoki, a hero of Nambokucho (the Northern and Southern Courts), and the tomb of the 97th Emperor Go-Murakami. It is also counted as the 2th sacred flower temples of Kansai, the thirteenth sacred Pagoda old temple, the Shinsaigoku Kyakuban sacred place, and the fifteenth sacred place of Shinto and Buddhism in Osaka.
