Information of surrounding facilities

In June 1928, when Koyasan Electric Railway was still operating, Kamikosawa station opened at the same time as the opening of the section between Koyashita Station and Kamiya (currently Kii-Kamiya) Station. If you cross the Fudodani River from the west side of the station and go further, you will reach Koyasan Choishimichi (World Heritage Site). There are also many people who travel along Choishimichi as a hiking course. Many people visit Niutsuhime Shrine (World Heritage Site) (Katsuragi-cho, Ito-gun) while following the Choishi stones, and then cross the Kasagi Pass to this station and the top of Koyasan.

Niutsuhime Shrine with a vivid contrast between the vermilion-lacquered drum bridge and the green cedar trees is said to have been built at least 1,700 years ago.
