Information of surrounding facilities

Chihayaguchi station opened in March 1915 when the section between Mikkaichicho and Hashimoto opened. Go down in front of the station, cross the Amami River and the national highway, and walk for about 7 minutes to reach "Jizoji temple". This temple was rebuilt in 1691 by Rentai Osho, a nephew of Jogon Osho who founded Enmeiji Temple, and was designated as a scenic spot by Osaka Prefecture in December 1970. In addition, if you walk south along the Koya Kaido along the Amami River for about 7 minutes, you will find a small temple called "Taimatsuya". There is a legend about the pine near the eaves that says, ``While Kobo Daishi was walking along the Koya Highway, the dawn broke in this area, and the torch he stuck into the ground sprouted and became a large tree.''
