Chef Atsushi Motokawa

After years of training at the venerable Western-style restaurant Gen-chan, founded in 1936, Chef Motokawa went on to open his own restaurant, Genji, in 1994. Genji moved to its current location in 2007. With the belief that every plate should be prepared with genuine care and a commitment to new discoveries with every visit, Chef Motokawa strives to create a warm space that guests can enjoy time and time again. Genji is a favorite of many diners with a loyal following that counts many notable personalities among its devoted fans.
