Information of surrounding facilities

Yoshiminosato station opened in October 1915. Yoshimi, Tajiri-cho, where it is located, is the birthplace of Senshu onions. In 1885 (Meiji 18), the locals ordered onion seeds from Yokohama and encouraged farmers suffering from drought and flood damage. For this reason, an inscription praising their achievements are engraved on the "Senshu Onion Cultivation Founder" monument in the precincts of Kasuga Shrine in the town. After the war, freight transport of spinning materials and products and delivery of goods to factory employees were actively carried out, but bankruptcies occurred one after another due to the recession, and in 1973 the station abolished freight handling.
