Information of surrounding facilities
Kohama station opened in April 1917. With the elevation between Tamade and Yamatogawa, the old station building was removed, and in August 1979, a new station building was opened on the second floor under the elevated section. Kohama Shopping Street, which was established in the Taisho era, has about 120 shops from Kohama Elementary School on the west side of the station to Sumiyoshi Taisha Station, and many long-established shops can be seen at this historical shopping street.
