Hashimoto station opened in March 1915 when the railway was still Koya Tozan Railway. It is still a jointly used station with our company and JR West since Kiwa Railway (current JR Wakayama Line) had laid a railway between Hashimoto and Gojo in April 1898. In September 1995, the double track between Miyukitsuji and Hashimoto was completed.
