  • Please refrain from rushing to catch trains, as this can cause injuries and accidents among other passengers.

Keeping stations beautiful

  • Please help us keep our stations beautiful. Please discard unneeded newspapers, magazines, empty cans and other items into the trash cans in the stations.
  • Never wear skates or ride skateboards in the stations.

Total, round-the-clock smoking bans

  • Smoking is banned throughout the day in areas inside the ticket gates at all stations.

Manners on the train

Cell-phone use

  • Please set your cell phone in silent mode before boarding trains and refrain from talking on your phone. Doing so may cause problems with your fellow passengers.
  • Please switch off your phone when you are near priority seats. Your phone may affect the operations of pacemakers and other medical devices.
  • When traveling in trains with limited-express fees, please set your cell phone in silent mode before boarding and make calls on the vestibules on board the trains.

Priority seats/Making room for others

  • Priority seats are provided in each car for elderly and disabled passengers. Please also offer your seat to pregnant women or passengers with infants.
  • Please sit in a way that shares seat space evenly. Please try to make room so that other passengers can also sit down.

Large luggage items, etc.

  • Please be considerate of the passengers around you when carrying large items of luggage on crowded trains.

Total smoking bans

  • There is a total smoking ban inside trains. Thus, you cannot smoke on board trains.
