Lining up, Safe behavior
- Please stand in lines and try to be orderly while taking the train. Trying to push can be a source of trouble to other passengers.
- Please refrain from rushing to catch trains, as this can cause injuries and accidents among other passengers.
Keeping stations beautiful
- Please help us keep our stations beautiful. Please discard unneeded newspapers, magazines, empty cans and other items into the trash cans in the stations.
- Never wear skates or ride skateboards in the stations.
Total, round-the-clock smoking bans
- Smoking is banned throughout the day in areas inside the ticket gates at all stations.
Manners on the train
Cell-phone use
- Please set your cell phone in silent mode before boarding trains and refrain from talking on your phone. Doing so may cause problems with your fellow passengers.
- Please switch off your phone when you are near priority seats. Your phone may affect the operations of pacemakers and other medical devices.
- When traveling in trains with limited-express fees, please set your cell phone in silent mode before boarding and make calls on the vestibules on board the trains.
Priority seats/Making room for others
- Priority seats are provided in each car for elderly and disabled passengers. Please also offer your seat to pregnant women or passengers with infants.
- Please sit in a way that shares seat space evenly. Please try to make room so that other passengers can also sit down.
Large luggage items, etc.
- Please be considerate of the passengers around you when carrying large items of luggage on crowded trains.
Total smoking bans
- There is a total smoking ban inside trains. Thus, you cannot smoke on board trains.
