Namba Parks

Namba Parks is a shopping center directly connected to Nankai Namba Station, which opened in April, 2007. It is an eating, shopping and entertainment facility with a gently curving open-air mall and a lushly green terraced rooftop park where you can feel the charm of the city and overwhelming nature at the same time.

There are 300 species and 70,000 plants in the rooftop garden, and various events are held throughout the year including street performance and firefly viewing. To be able to have a meal while enjoying the lushly green garden in one of the restaurants on the upper floors is also a part of Namba Parks’ appeal.
In terms of environmental conservation, the shopping mall was awarded the Minister's Prize by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for rooftop gardening in 2005, and the Osaka Environment Award in 2009.
